TUFH International Student Exchange Program 2020-2021

The Network: Towards Unity For Health (TUFH) invites students majoring in health professions (i.e., medicine, nursing, midwifery, public health, nutritional health, social worker, and others) to join TUFH International Student Exchange Program for 2020-2021. Participants will experience fun and enriching online collaborative activities with interprofessional students from countries around the globe. This program allows students to learn on Social Determinants of Health while experiencing leadership and multicultural skills. Some details of the program:

  1. The program will be conducted online.
  2. Each participants will be allocated to an interprofessional, multi-nationality group facilitated by a facilitator.
  3. Online exchange activities include expert lectures by international speakers (1-2 sessions/month), group discussion synchronous/asynchronous (1-2 sessions per month), completing tasks/assignments.

Learning time commitment: 2-6 hours per week.

  1. Assessment: there will be 8 assignments (1 assignment per month), could be an essay, report or community visits.
  2. The program will commence in October 29, 2020 (Introduction session) and ends on July 2021 (approx. 8 months).
  3. The closing session will be a conference in conjuction to TUFH 2021 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
  4. Undergraduate Medicine and Nursing students of UGM may receive credit points (SKS) upon successful completion of the TUFH International Student Exchange Program for their Elective Block (transfer kredit): Medicine (6 SKS), Nursing (3-4 SKS).

  1. Application and motivation letter
  2. Curriculum vitae (please include a photograph in your CV)
  3. Proof of English language proficiency, i.e., TOEFL, IELTS, AcEPT or other equivalent test results.
