INTRODUCTION
Master of Tropical Medicine, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) was founded in connection with the many tropical diseases in Indonesia that need to be treated professionally and with quality. At that time in Indonesia there was no study center that held a Master’s Study Program in Tropical Medicine. In connection with the problems mentioned above, Master of Tropical Medicine Study Program needs to be organized to meet the need for personnel who are able to develop and apply various medical science and technology related to tropical diseases, formulate and solve tropical medical problems based on medical science and technology with a global perspective.

Master’s Study Program in Tropical Medicine is committed to producing Master’s graduates who have knowledge and competence in the field of tropical and infectious diseases and produce community service programs which are the application of medical science and technology research related to tropical and infectious diseases to solve public health problems. The concentrations that can be taken by students in the Master of Tropical Medicine Study Program are; Health Entomology, Immunology and Molecular Biology of Tropical Diseases, and Tropical Infectious Diseases.
